    Wash the oranges thoroughly, peel them, and slice the peels into thin even strips while trimming excess white pith if too thick.

    Place the peel strips in a pot with water, bring to a boil for about 10 minutes, then drain to reduce bitterness.

    Repeat the boiling process once more with fresh water, then drain and set the peels aside.
